Simulacrum

Simulacrum was written for the a yet to be released Short-Film of the same title. This Short-Film revolves around our protagonist, Leslie, a decrepit, jaded, and bitter old man. We begin the piece in the black and white setting of the Simulacrum, a barren intersection, in a neighborhood seemingly devoid of any life. We focus in on the centerpiece of this intersection, a flashing red light. After the Simulacrum has been established, we’re transported into Leslie’s floundering reality, crumbling into oblivion due to his dementia laden brain. His surroundings, once familiar, fade into something completely unrecognizeable and devoid of any color. Eventually Leslie is forced to accept the altered reality that is the Simulacrum and must come to terms with the end of a life of uncompromising complacency, while simultaneously getting a glimpse into the realm of what could have been.
